Animals May Prevent Zombie Apocylpse

Found an article that talked about how animals may prevent zombies from getting too out of control.  This basically talks about how there are different species of animals who would devour undead hordes.  There are a lot of carrion eaters out there and a slow moving group of zombies would be great targets for them.  It goes on to describe the different specific animals in different species that would be the biggest threat to zombies.

This article was pretty interesting and it showed me something that I had never really thought about before.  When we see zombie movies you rarely if ever see any animals.  In the Walking Dead there has been some birds, a horse, a deer and not too much more.  This gets me wondering if they could make a zombie movie that incorporates this fact.  They could have animals attacking the zombies in addition to the living then again that would make for a short movie.

What do you guys think?

  1. Interesting post and link. I've often thought that one of the big things missing from The Walking Dead TV series is the depiction of vultures. You would think that they would be having a field day with so many bodies lying around.

    1. I have always been curious about why the virus does not affect the animals?
